Lapindo
Mud
Lapindo mud are a made man disaster and can caused many
pollutions. This pollution can contaminations water, soil, and air. Even though
Lapindo is one of the largest oil reserves in Indonesian. Because technical
eror in the drilling process resulted Lapindo mud and it so dangerous for
humans, animals, and the environments.
First of all, I would like to point out that Lapindo mud
are contribute to the pollutions at Porong. Research has shown that disposal of
Lapindo mud into the sea have bad impact to the aquatic ecosystem at Porong
river and Allo river. So it will disturb river animals.
Secondly, according to American Association of Petroleum
Geologist , Lapindo mud flow resulted pollution of soil and damaging some humans
habitation and destroyed building. They will get illness like asma, bronchitis
and faringitis.
Furthermore, Lapindo mud flow produced toxic gases. Toxic
gases can caused the around areas very
hot and severe drought. Lack of the clean water.
From the argument above, I strongly believe that Lapindo
mud flow is a serious threat to porong areas. The government must be quickly handle Lapindo mud.
